November 2019, I spoke at the graduation ceremony for our Chicago area Emerging Leaders Program. The Emerging Leaders Program is sponsored and delivered by the US Small Business Administration and Interise (#Interise). Following that event, the Daily Herald spotlighted two of the members from the recent business cohort. Their comments speak directly to the benefits of the program. If you have a current business and are interested in learning more about registering for the Emerging Leaders Program please contact the Regional SBA Office by going to their website (https://lnkd.in/eiWaWJy). #Interise2020 #sba #10ksbchicago #smallbusinessweek #womenownedbusinesses #enterpreneurship
On January 26-27, 2018, the 2018 Financial Planning and Forecasting Round-table concluded. For one and one-half days, we delivered training supporting owners address one of their most pressing management challenges; getting a solid handle on how to use financial statements to strengthen strategic planning in support of business sustainability and growth. Through individualized instruction, the facilitators from 4 Horsemen Productions, a small- and medium-sized business training firm, led the group through a series of exercises to build their diagnostic skills in the areas of financial analysis, cash flow estimation and financial projections.
On February 16, 2018, 4 Horsemen Productions will host their second workshop at the University of Chicago’s Polsky Center. On tap, a forum where participants will engage the topic of employee retention. The discussion will focus on new hire sourcing & selection, onboarding strategies and employee compensation options tailored to enhance retention.
